John Bell

John’s first career was with the police where he retired as a senior officer in the 1990s.

As a Master of Education degree holder John next turned to teaching as a profession.

However in later years it was as an artist that he flourished and, with skills honed as a book illustrator, he quickly became popular with greetings card manufacturers specialising in painting pretty places.   For John Lymington, positioned in the heart of the New Forest, was chosen as the ideal place to retire to.   Now with more time on his hands John enjoys creating his artwork, showing local scenes which can be viewed around the Community Centre.
