Sessions

Lymington Community Centre’s Early Years programme offers flexible childcare for children ages two to rising five. Parents can adapt session times to fit their schedules. Funding for eligible families (15 or 30 hours per week) is available. The Centre maintains transparent pricing, healthy-snack guidance, allergy safety, and supportive staff.

Funding

We offer childcare for children aged 2 years to rising 5’s and accept 2, 3 and 4-year funding. There are different government funding options available to families, and to find out if you are eligible and which option is right for you, please visit the Childcare Choices webpage, which can be accessed here.

Depending on the Early years funding you are eligible for, you could receive 15 hours per week, a total of 570 hours per year, or 30 hours per week, a total of 1,140 hours per year. The total amount of hours will depend on when your child’s birthday falls and the weeks per term per year. As there are variables, we will go through the funding with you before your child starts.

Cost & Times

We are extremely flexible with our start and finish times and parents can book times to suit, rather than having to book sessions.

We also tailor our opening and closing times to suit the cohort of families we have each year and our rates are extremely competitive.

We also do not charge extra costs or have hidden costs for the service we provide.

Food In Pre-School / Allergens Guidelines

We ask parents to provide their children with their own healthy snacks, consisting of a variety of fruit, breadsticks, plain biscuits, etc. Any foods / drinks shared within Pre-School for birthdays/celebrations etc. must be in original unopened packaging due to the regulations which came into effect in December 2014 from the Food Standards Agency.

Parents must inform us of any allergies/intolerances their child or immediate family may have.

Parent Testimonial

"I just wanted to thank you and the team at Lymington Centre Pre-School so much for the special care and attention you gave my daughter and indeed our family, at a very tricky time. As we moved from out of the area and started my daughter at a new preschool, we knew that we needed some special help with my daughter. You so kindly listened to all my concerns and set a meeting with me as soon as I requested help, to talk about what to do as we suspected development delays due to possible autism/Asperger’s syndrome. You guided me through the process and helped me each step of the way, from a pre-school assessment to health visitors to speech therapists and paediatrician.

This help and quick results made sure that I chose the perfect school for my daughter to start at Reception within 6 months. Being able to quickly diagnose and then understand my daughter’s needs meant that we were able to pick a School which is perfect for her and she has indeed flourished already in her first term.

I don’t think that my daughter would be so settled and happy at big school without your significant help at a critical time I felt so support by you and your team; welcomed and assisted and I know that my daughter felt so at home with you all in your lovely supportive environment which allows children to be themselves and do their own personal best. Our family is so settled, and my daughter is her best self and doing even better than we imagined! Thank you so much to all your team."
