This course will explore a variety of short stories from the anthology 50 Great Short Stories edited by Milton Crane. The stories in this collection are predominantly British and American, with a small selection from French and Russian writers. Stories to be read and discussed may include works by Edgar Allan Poe, R.L. Stevenson, Alexander Poushkin, Virginia Woolf, Guy de Maupassant and Shirley Jackson.
