On the 10th December 2009, Geoff set sail in a 60ft, purpose-built, wheelchair-accessible catamaran on his voyage across the Atlantic Ocean. Geoff is an inspirational guy who reminds us just how much we take for granted.

Geoff's unique 'Personal Atlantic Challenge', saw him sailing his 60ft, purpose-built, wheel-chair-accessible catamaran on an expedition across the Atlantic Ocean. The 2,700 miles was a journey of a lifetime which overcame the odds in which Geoff became the first person who is quadriplegic, to make the journey, totally unassisted in every aspect of sailing.

The charity lunch is an opportunity to meet Geoff to hear and understand with unique insight the challenges that he had to face, when his terrible accident made him quadriplegic. This is the story of how he conquered his ‘Everest’ and why the support for SailAbility is such a lifeline to so many.
