Project: Transition Lymington
In 2009 hundreds of millions of people around the world showed their support of Earth Hour by turning off their lights for one hour. Earth Hour 2010 will continue to be a global call to action to every individual, every business and every community. A call to stand up, to show leadership and be responsible for our future.
Pledge your support here and turn off your lights for one hour, Lights out for Lymington, 8.30pm, Saturday 27th March 2010. It's Showtime! Show what can be done.
Fun things to do during Lights out for Lymington
If you are not sure how you will be celebrating Lights out for Lymington this year, here are some ideas:- Plan April Fool's Day pranks.
- Have a candle run chocolate fondue with fruit & marshmallows.
- Get those board games out.
- Go for a walk. Lie down. Look up. Enjoy it.
- Do something "crafty" with the kids by candlelight.
- Get out the camping gear! Set up a tent and tell stories.
- Invite people over for a candlelit dinner.
- Take a nap - it's been a hard week and no-one will notice.
- Change any old bulbs for a few new energy saving ones.
- Why not eat all the ice-cream that's sitting in your freezer.
Let us know what you will be doing this year.
